TWO TYPES OF SERVICES

1. WHAT IS SERVICE?

The Bible talks a lot about service because the central theme of the Bible is the Servant of all people, namely Jesus Christ, For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. (Mark 10:45).

When we accept Jesus Christ as Lord of our lives, we become Christians and our Christianity is expressed in the way we serve others,
• And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all. (Mark 9:35).
• As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. (1 Pet. 4:10). Likewise, if we want to show love for God, our love for Him is expressed in the form of our love for our neighbours as explained by the Lord Jesus,
• 40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
• 45Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. (Matt. 25:40, 45).
